WHAT IS CSR?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a legal mandate in India for companies with a net worth of Rs. 500 crores or more, a turnover of Rs. 1,000 crores or more, or a net profit of Rs. 5 crores or more. CSR allows companies to contribute towards sustainable nation-building goals by investing at least 2% of their average net profits in projects related to education, water supply, healthcare, environment, social empowerment, sports, and culture.
